The Battles They Don’t See: Speed & Introspection Featuring Eliot Jackson The bike doesn’t solve our problems; it gives us the opportunity to fight them. As speed becomes introspection, we use the trail to process what lies beneath the surface. Away from the noise of the routine world, the trail blurs the boundary between self and the terrain ahead, leaving room only for internal dialogue: the quiet battles and emotional weight we carry up every climb and drop with every descent. Set to Wye Oak’s “Civilian”, this edit visually explores the space between who we are to the outside world and who we are when it’s just us, the bike, and the dirt. To those outside the sport – the “civilians” who don’t understand this obsession – it just looks like we’re riding through trees and flying through the air for a rise. “You’re crazy.” “That’s dangerous.” Both are oversimplifications. But for those who know the battles we wage and have felt the wars we’ve fought on these trails, every turn is a release, every feature a confrontation, and every ride a step toward processing what we are currently unable to express in words. May the rhythm of the trail quiet the noise, help you process the heavy stuff, and continually bring you back to solid ground.

Details Matter The New Blur | Ride Quality • There’s a lot to get to on the new Blur, but we’ll start off on what you’ll notice most - The ride quality. There is quite a bit going on under the hood that make it a more capable machine when racing for podiums (It’s already helped claim the Overall win at the 2026 BC Bike Race, and a double All-Mountain Championship at the Downiville Classic under RUTH HOLCOMB and Tobin Ortenblad) and for when your daily rides have you hammering into the sunrise. - More Travel 120mm rear travel, 120mm front travel as standard. XC courses are getting rougher and tougher, and our racers started opting for the ’Trail’ long travel set-up on the previous Blur for more control in technical terrain, and on the descents. The downside was that the race geometry was originally set-up for 100/100mm so things were getting slacker, including the pedaling platform. Which leads us to… - The Geometry We updated geometry around the 120/120 travel with a 66-deg head angle & 75-deg seat tube angle. Steering is more confidence inspiring, and the seat tube angle is back to where you need it for best pedaling efficiency. We’ve also extended the reach significantly, and paired it with shorter stems to make you feel more like you’re riding “in” the bike instead of “on” the bike. With help from…. - Revised Suspension Kinematics The new Blur encourages and rewards hard, aggressive riding on both the climbs and descents. The leverage curve is more progressive for a less bobbing under pedaling, and we added mid-stroke support to complement the Blur’s more capable geometry. - Proportional Geometry The Blur geometry scales proportionally with frame size, as does the layup. This means that each frame optimized for a balanced geometry feel, and the carbon layup is tuned to ensure a size small delivers the same ride characteristics as an XL. - Build Kits Along with the bumped-up travel the new Blur has optimized geometry regardless of how you build it up. Since both the Race and Standard builds are now 120/120, there are no ride quality compromises based on build. • And there’s more… Stay tuned for another Details Matter post that will go through all the added features of the new model.

Trackside bike of choice, the Bullit. The key to Steve & Gaz's heart is simple. Many snacks & motorised pedalling. Efficiency is top of the priority list during race week and this rig is the answer to our line-spotter's prayers.
