FacebookA little further north. 🌲 This season, we headed to Vancouver Island to put our newest fall & winter layers to the test – by bike, boat, van, seaplane, or surfboard, we found plenty of ways to get out there. We linked up with local friends and got a proper taste of life on the west coast of Vancouver Island. We wandered through old forests, surfed by ourselves, paddled quiet lakes, explored remote islands, caught (huge) salmon, cooked our catch over the fire, and came home with plenty more stories we’ll be sharing as the season unfolds. To us, this is what it means to ‘Find Your Outerknown.’ Getting out of your everyday, following curiosity, and chasing the things that make your body glow, your mind buzz, and your spirit sing. #FindYourOuterknown

Chasing new feelings. Kelly Slater With the jersey behind him in Tahiti, Kelly Slater was back to chasing what’s next, experimenting with new board designs and different fin setups free surfing in Tahiti. That constant evolution is what makes Kelly, Kelly – always moving forward, always drawing new lines. And for Todd Glaser, there was no better way to capture it than from underneath it all – a different perspective on the subtle details, movements and feelings. Todd shares: “Shooting surfing underwater, in my opinion, is the most rare and beautiful way to show surfing. There are not a lot of places where the water is clear enough to shoot underwater, and getting to be in a place like Tahiti is extra special. When watching the footage, you always see something new – a fish swimming by, the way Kelly places his hand in the water, how the water flows off the rake of the fins, or the bubbles exploding from a passing tube. A lot of photographers and filmers always shoot above water so they can show the subject’s face, Kelly is an artist himself. He and I have worked so much together he trusts me to capture him in a more abstract and unique way. All the imagery we make is a collaboration of our creative minds, actions and visions together.” Kelly + Tahiti, filmed & directed by Todd Glaser, is live now. 🐐 at the 🐐 Kelly Slater Yesterday we tee’d it up at Goat Hill Park for the 8th annual The Brother Benno Foundation’s Charity Golf Tournament, supporting an organization doing incredible work for our local community and beyond. Kelly Slater, Chuy Reyna and crew came back to defend last year’s title, firing 18-under and finishing tied for first. 🏆 We’re always stoked to be a part of this one. Big thanks to The Brother Benno Foundation, Goat Hill Park, all the volunteers, and everyone who made it out for the day. 🤝⛳️ #FindYourOuterknown

Sound Waves: September. 🌀 This month’s rotation is made up of the music playing live around us. After a week at @sessionssurffestival in Encinitas, and with @theohanafest coming up this weekend in Dana Point, we pulled together a mix of the artists playing locally along our stretch of coast this September. Warm days, cooler nights, live music by the sea, and that last little glimpse of summer still in the air. Full playlist spinning at the link in bio. 🎶 #FindYourOuterknown
