Explore some of the green hues and textures of our latest delivery of FW26. From soft fine-wale corduroys to silky modals and felted alpaca wools, there's a lot to like. One of the pieces we're gonna give a closer look at is this season's Mechanic Shirt. We've been making workwear and workwear-adjacent styles for almost two decades now. Every season you can expect to find hardy canvases, tough denims, and chunky twills that can take a beating and look even better a decade down the line. When we approach these workwear styles, the idea is always to try and simplify or modernize it through our lens through fit or detailing. The Mechanic Shirt is a different beast. We've made a few over the years out of classic fabrics that you'd find on the vintage references - twill, HBT - but the majority of them lately have been crafted of tencel or, in the case this season, a Modal/Rayon blend. Taking a workshirt and applying a silky, luxurious fabric to it changes the entire feel of the garment. Modal and Rayon are both semi-synthetic fabrics that are created from natural plant fibers (Modal from beech trees, and Rayon from wood or bamboo pulp). We love this fabric for its drape and its performance, as it temperature regulates and wicks moisture. No one will fault you for changing your oil in this shirt, but it can do so much more.

Tuesday night was a crazy one; thank you to everyone who made time this week to come celebrate our NY shop renovation and reopening. The @johnniewalkerus strawberry highballs and espresso martinis were flowing, the @kirinichibanusa cans were eliminated in an hour, and @mgoldstein supplied the tunes. But the best part was the people: friends of ours from all walks of life who came together to connect, reconnect and share some time together on a perfect fall evening. This season, we introduce a new outerwear style inspired by one of our favorite classic denim jacket styles: the 101J. We took the iconic silhouette as a starting point and exaggerated details, from the widened pocket flaps to the elbow reinforcement that's inset into the cuff running up the arm. The fit is carefully considered, mirroring the shorter bodies of the original models while adding a relaxed chest and longer sleeve measurements that makes the jacket a versatile piece that we'd wear with our jeans, pleated trousers, or easy pants. The fabric is a beautiful brushed twill woven for us in Portugal that's been garment dyed into two colors for fall: Buttermilk and Umber. The weight of the fabric allows the Trucker Jacket to be worn as a jacket or a midlayer depending on the temperatures.
